Additional Modeling Agency
Ive been hustling and bustling like there is no tomorrow,right?.My current agent is okay and US Based. Im African so of course I would like to be signed with an African agency as well, right?Guess what? I just got signed by an African agency yesterday - hooray.i just simply sent photos and they liked it..seriously.Its not by my doing-- its by the doing and the Grace of God.. thats all.now I am ready to take on the world.Lets go...by the way, that casting I went to in January, I did not get it.. dark skinned girls just aren't in.Its ok, I know I'm beautiful and thats all that matters:)
CASTING CALL- AFRICAN WOMAN MAGAZINE
January 11,2011: Today I had another casting call. My first casting call in the year 2011. It required me to be in NY by 11 am on 39th Ave-west, by Times Square.
Being that I do not live in New York, I had to wake up early and commute. Once I got to the casting, the lady talked to me for like 5 minutes and it was over.Thank you .The lady was quite beautiful and sweet.I'll put her name up here when I get the job (Im thinking positive).when I got there, she was like"Your hair looks different.". Well YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH I wear wigs-- how was i supposed to know which hair she wanted to see me in.YIKES. I told her not to worry because I had that wog at home.As a black woman, it is very hard, in terms of hair when you are a model because you never know which style to go with.This is why ive been wearing wigs for like a year.my REAL hair is quite long but i dont want to do it and then go to a casting and they are like"no, take it out". So for me, i like to just keep my hair braided down and place wigs on top of it, until i have a better plan. To the casting, I wore this black and white dress I got from TARGET and the casting director actually liked the dress (1 point for me). I wore a wig with bangs but its not the one in my iconic modeling picture--i guess i will wear that one next time..i hope she remembers me.Her husband is from Senegal. Within 10 minutes , we were done.so now let the waiting game begin.
